Cultural Immersion Camp: Mediterranean

Sprouts Circle is excited to host a camp all about the Mediterranean! This global studies camp seeks to create an immersive experience for kids by focusing on unique activities for kids that embody the day to day lives and traditions of people in a given country or culture. This is a 5 day camp that runs from Monday, July 22nd through Friday, July 26th. From 9am-1pm each day kids will get to experience the delights of Greek and Italian culture. Camp cost is $100 per child for the week. This camp is for children in K-5th grade. Class maximum is 8 students.This ensures that each student receives individualized attention to make their experience the most authentic and immersive as possible. This week’s camp is designed to introduce kids to the heroes and myths of Ancient Greece and the first Olympic games. Each day the classroom will be decorated like Grecian vases to tell the stories of different Greek heroes or monsters. Midweek we will pivot from Greece to Italy. Kids will learn about the formation of countries and empires through games and drama activities as we discuss the fall of Greece and the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Then we will move forward into Italian life covering topics like the fun of Carnivale, the beauty of the Renaissance, and the flavors of Italian cooking. Visit our Summer Camps page for more details!
