About the Class: Becoming a new parent is an exciting and sometimes overwhelming journey. Our Newborn Care Class is designed to provide you with the knowledge and confidence you need to care for your newborn. This hands-on class covers everything from understanding what your new baby looks like to mastering essential care activities, navigating newborn screening tests, and addressing common challenges. *What You'll Learn* What a New Baby Looks Like: Discover the unique physical characteristics of newborns. Learn about common features such as lanugo, vernix, and newborn reflexes. Understand what is normal and when to seek medical advice. Basic Care Activities: Diapering: Techniques for changing diapers efficiently and comfortably. Feeding: Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding tips to ensure your baby is well-nourished. Bathing: Step-by-step guidance on how to safely bathe your newborn. Sleep: Creating a safe and soothing sleep environment for your baby. Newborn Screening Tests: Overview of essential screening tests performed shortly after birth. Explanation of what these tests screen for and why they are important. Guidance on how to prepare for and understand the results. Common Problems a Parent Might Encounter: Identifying and managing common newborn issues such as colic, diaper rash, and feeding difficulties. Tips for soothing a fussy baby and recognizing signs of illness. Strategies for maintaining your well-being and managing stress as a new parent. Why Choose Our Class?
